Puppy 201

Puppy 101
Puppy 101, The Way of the Woof: Have you ever wondered what pup play is all about? Have you stumbled upon a mosh and walked away hooked? Didn’t have a clue until you were reading this that pup play even existed? Come and find out what it is all about. Learn about why we play on all fours, ins and outs of basic gear and etiquette, and how to find your inner pup.
Beyond Squeak Toys and Scritches: Suddenly you realize that there is more to this pup thing than squeak toys and cuddles and sniffing adventures, so now you are unsure how to proceed. We will look beyond the basics of gear and etiquette and delve into the pup psyche. In order to better understand yourself as a pup or those you love who are pups we will have a candid discussion about the emotional concerns of pups both in a mosh pit and out of one. Come start the exploration of your pup side and open yourself up to a deeper level of play.
Take it to the Mats: Come learn the basics of the dog park, aka mosh, while it is going on. Learn how to approach the pups, what questions to ask, what to watch out for, common signals, and ways to communicate with your pup so that everyone is happy and safe each time a mosh occurs. Also learn how to handle strays and what gear is a good idea for both pups and handlers to have out at a mosh.
The Ins and Outs of Agility Courses: Come learn basic commands, basic components of the agility course, how to create and assemble your own course, and how to either master the course yourself or get your pup to master the course. If time permits, a good ole fashioned race will occur at the end of the course.

Daddy Rose –
Currently the IPTC International Trainer 2013, Rose Spire identifies Sadomasochistic Queer Femme Daddy and found her ‘home’ in the Dallas kink and leather community in 2008. While she loves to push the boundaries in play, she really enjoys creating dialogue for exploration of identity, communication, spirituality, energy play and shared paths. She has a passion for education and intellectual discourse and has shared her knowledge of needles, cutting, shifting identity, gender, and her perspective of being a female dominant and pup handler. She is currently a mentor for the Dallas Mentors Program and is also heavily involved in the DFW pups and trainers group. While active in the leather community at large, she has the wonderful fortune of handling and sharing her household with pup and leather boy, Rylee Spire, and pup and leather slave, Maximus Spire.
Pup Rylee –
Currently the IPTC International Puppy 2013, Rylee Spire identifies as an Alpha Pup and Queer Leather boy owned by Daddy Rose. Rylee found the kink community in 2005, but claimed the Dallas community as home in 2009. He is currently a mentor for the Dallas Mentors Program and has educated many about cutting, pup play, and gender diversity. Constantly exploring the many facets of his personality and his beloved kinks over the years, his favorite saying to pass along to those he shares his knowledge with is to “always make your cup bigger.” Rylee fosters a deep love of learning, spirituality and psychology and considers himself a student of life. He also embraces a primal side that comes out in play, especially in bloody activities such as artistic cutting and scarification. Rylee has the fortune of leading the DFW Pups and Trainers group, which is one of his pride and joys.
